Used SKA Snodgrass Glass Depalletizer

Item is a used, SKA Fabrication, model "Snodgrass", semi automatic, bulk container depalletizer. The machine is designed to depalletize plastic, metal, or glass containers configured on 1/2 high pallets. The machine is designed to accommodate 40" x 48" pallets. Pallets of empty containers are placed in the elevator section with a pallet jack. Pallet straps and the top frame are removed manually and the entry door is locked shut. The machine can now be operated in "manual" or "automatic" mode. Operations are controlled through the touchpad HMI. Machine is equipped with automatic slip sheet removal system. The machine is set up with the sweep mechanism pushing containers to the left when looking at the machine from the entry door. Power requirement is 460 volt/3-phase/60htz. Compressed air is required @ 80 PSI.

The depalletizer is mated to a 50" wide x 12' long, matt-top accumulation deck. Containers are swept from the elevator section of the depalltizer across a dead plate onto the matt-top accumulation deck. The square, concentrate bottles require special consideration. To prevent the bottles from "clustering" it is necessary to maintain an "organized" bottle layer until the bottles are single filed off the accumulation deck. A variable speed, vertical stripper conveyor with pins or flights is needed to strip one row of containers from the deck at a time running perpendicular to the direction of the matt-top belt. To facilitate this, a pneumatic hold down bar is needed to hold the second row of bottles while the first row is stripped from the layer. This second row of bottles is held down against a dead plate. The power requirement is 120 volt/single phase. Compressed air is required @ 80 PSI.
